In Nursery, we have made a fantastic start to the new school year. We are so proud of all of the children who arrive each day ready to learn with smiles on their faces ready to try their best every day.

Everyone has settled in extremely well and have joined in with all our activities.

We have been learning all about ourselves. Our favourite story has been Shopping with Dad. We have enjoyed singing nursery rhymes such as the family finger song, head shoulders knees and toes, and the rainbow song. We have enjoyed learning all about colours and had a special rainbow party.

I have enjoyed getting to know everyone this half-term. We are excited to learn about celebrations next half term, have more new children join our class and celebrate Christmas!

This half-term we have enjoyed learning all about the different animals we could find on a farm. We have shared lots of farm animal stories including the three little pigs and Farmer Duck. We have enjoyed singing lots of different farm animal nursery rhymes such as 'Chick chick chicken', using our whole bodies to join in with the actions. We have also enjoyed learning how phonic sounds and practising how to write our letters.

We have also started our exciting transition work to get ready to move up to Reception in September. Practising writing our name multiple times a day, trying to put our coats on independently and sharing how we feel about leaving nursery.

Everyone in Nursery has had a great half-term. I would like to wish everyone moving up to Reception the best of luck.

We have had an exciting half-term in Nursery learning all about mini beast.

We have been learning all about what we can find at the bottom of our garden. So far, we have enjoyed the story 'Jack and the Beanstalk', learning all about how plants grow. We have also enjoyed 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly. On Monday 10th May we are having a mini-beast day where we will be dressing up as our favourite mini-beast and donating a plant for our school garden. We are learning how to look after our school garden by joining in with lots of fun gardening activities.

Everyone in Nursery has had a great half-term.

We will continue our interest in insects and animals next half term. In Summer 2 we will be learning all about the Farm.

We have had an exciting half-term in Nursery!

We have been learning all about celebrations. So far, we have celebrated Halloween, bonfire night, Diwali, birthday's and harvest festival. In the final few weeks of term, we will be learning all about Christmas and have lots of fun plans. We can't wait to learn different songs for our nativity and make lots of treats to take home.

Nursery have really engaged with their learning this half-term and followed their interests, especially with the 3 Little Pigs! This has been our favourite story this half and enjoyed by everyone!

Nursery have also enjoyed taking part every morning in our math's meeting. Looking at the weather, and practising our number skills. This has led to use exploring the weather as a topic and learning about the changes.

Everyone in Nursery has had a great half-term, gaining confidence and evolving their love for learning.

We are excited to finish our celebration topic moving into people who help us next half-term.
